In-person and virtual therapy in Denver and Wheat Ridge for teens and adults. I specialize in treating:

-
Men who are newcomers to therapy and struggle to talk about their concerns, emotions, or trauma.

-
LGBTQ+ teens and young adults in their 20s and early 30s.

-
High achievers who struggle with excessive stress, strained relationships, anxiety, depression, anger, and unresolved trauma.
In addition to individual therapy, I offer short-term family therapy and provide psychoeducation for parents who want to support and better understand their child's struggles. I employ a solution-focused and direct approach to help each client clearly define and achieve their goals for therapy.

Men's Issues
I work with men who are seeking alternatives to traditional talk therapy. As a result of gender socialization, many men struggle with vulnerability and opening up, even with close friends and loved ones. Art therapy and EMDR are forms of therapy that provide a path to identifying and exploring emotions, processing trauma, and developing self-awareness without engaging in extensive verbal dialogue.
LGBTQ+ Teens and Young Adults
The quality of our relationships with family, friends, and significant others greatly impacts our quality of life. When someone begins to question their sexual orientation, gender identity, or comes out as LGBTQ+, the impact has a ripple effect. I support queer youth navigate what can be an isolating process. When appropriate, I also welcome parents into parent-child family sessions. I am passionate about helping young people and their families build understanding, respect, and improve communication.
Trauma
Trauma is an experience of having no choice about what happened to you. This is the common denominator in the experiences of victims of sexual assault, survivors of mass shootings, and children placed in foster care. Trauma can also result from less obvious sources. Being caught in the middle of your parents' bitter divorce, bullying or rejection by peers, and the death of a loved one can leave deep and lasting scars. Guilt, shame, and a loss of trust are common reactions to a traumatic event and may result in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I employ evidence-based modalities such as EMDR and art therapy to help clients get the relief they deserve.
I help my clients build a brighter future.
