create change
In-person and virtual therapy in Denver for teens and young adults. I specialize in working with the LBGTQ+ community, including those who are in the process of coming out or questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. When appropriate, I also offer solution-focused family therapy and provide psychoeducation for parents who want to understand and support their child's journey.

Due to the challenges of being LGBTQ+ in an increasingly hostile society, my clients often struggle with anxiety, depression, and unresolved trauma.
Anxiety and Depression
I treat clients with symptoms of anxiety and depression, and on a case-by-case basis I also work with clients who have a history of self-harm and suicidal thoughts. I have nearly a decade of experience working with clients with these conditions and I am comfortable supporting young people who are transitioning to outpatient care following hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, residential treatment, and wilderness therapy. I provide my clients with practical tools to self-soothe and regulate emotions during times of unpredictability and heightened stress.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ+)
The quality of our relationships with family, friends, and significant others greatly impacts our quality of life. When someone begins to question their sexual orientation, gender identity, or comes out as LGBTQ+, the impact has a ripple effect. I support teens and young adults navigate what can be an isolating process. When appropriate, I also welcome heterosexual and cisgender parents into parent-child family sessions. I am passionate about helping young people and their families build understanding, respect, and improve communication.
Trauma
Trauma is an experience of having no choice about what happened to you. This is the common denominator in the experiences of survivors of sexual assault, students impacted by school shootings, and children placed in foster care. Trauma can also result from less obvious sources. Being caught in the middle of your parents' bitter divorce, bullying or rejection by peers, and the death of a loved one can leave deep and lasting scars. Guilt, shame, and a loss of trust are common reactions to a traumatic event and may result in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I employ evidence-based modalities such as EMDR to help clients get the relief they deserve.
I help young people build a brighter future.
Through art therapy, EMDR, and individual and family therapy, I empower my clients to create change, healing, and emerge into the fullest expression of themselves.
